As you plan to downsize, you might feel good about donating some of your unwanted items to local thrift stores, giving your things another life.  We have compiled a list of local stores in Kingston for you to consider.  Each listing includes a description of how they ‘give back’ to community through funds generated by your donated items.  By recycling in this way, your items get a new home, organizations get funding for community programs and we avoid contributing to landfill sites.

We purchase used clothing, household goods and textiles from nonprofit organizations to extend the life of used goods and reduce what ends up in a landfill.

The vast majority of our suppliers are nonprofits, and we pay them based on an agreed upon purchase price that corresponds to pounds delivered. This way, our partners can count on a regular revenue stream that helps them do what they do best — realize their missions. Every month, we provide regular payments to more than 100 leading national and regional nonprofit organizations.
